Ubuntuforums'da sorunun çözümüne yönelik güzel bir başlık buldum:

Sorunun kaynağı GSPCA web kamera sürücüsünün yeni versiyona (v.2) geçiş aşamasında olması ve bu nedenle bazı şeylerin henüz yerine oturmaması. Yukarıdaki başlıkta iki aşamalı bir öneri var:

1. linux-backports-modules paketini kurun:

Kod Seç

sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-$(uname -r)

Sonra bilgisayarı yeniden başlatıp kamerayı cheese veya camorama programları ile deneyin:

sudo apt-get install cheese
sudo apt-get install camorama

Her iki programın kısayolları da Uygulamalar menüsü altına yerleşiyor.

2. Bu işe yaramadıysa, sıra gspca v.2 modülünü kaynaktan derlemeye geldi. Konsoldan sırasıyla şu komutları verin:

wget http://linuxtv.org/hg/~jfrancois/gspca/archive/tip.tar.bz2
tar xjvf tip.tar.bz2
cd gspca-*
make
sudo make install

Sonra bilgisayarı yeniden başlatıp kamerayı deneyin.

Bu hatanın nedeni, aynı anda birkaç program yükleme yazılımının (örneğin Güncelleme Yöneticisi, Synaptic, konsolda apt-get, aptitude ya da dpkg) açık olması. Diğerlerini kapattığınızdan emin olduktan sonra bir daha deneyin.
