Ubuntu 11.10 Üstüne MATE Masaüstü Ortamı (gnome 2) Kurulumu

Herşeyden önce:

- Bu işlemi virtualbox üstünde sanal makine kullanarak temiz bir 11.10 iso üstüne yapabilirsiniz... Heves almaklık için alır, inceler ve görmüş olursunuz...
- Mate Masaüstü Ortamını test etmek istiyorsanız Linux Mint 12 Lisa dağıtımının DVD versiyonunu virtualbox üstünden kurarak direk deneme fırsatı bulabilirsiniz.
- Tüm bu imkanlara rağmen, çalışan bir sistem üstünde denemek isterseniz, bizden günah gitti

Not:
- Linux Mint Gnome Shell eklentileri de bu kurulum ile birlikte geliyor gibi görünüyor... Gnome Shell kullandığınız bir sistemde tercihen denemeyiniz...

Gnome 2 Çatallaması Mate Masaüstü Ortamı Ubuntu 11.10 üstünde test edilebilir durumda... Unity veya Gnome Shell alternatifi olarak denemek isterseniz buyrun...

Başlarken

İlk işlem olarak Linux Mint 12 yazılım kaynaklarını listelerimize eklememiz gerekiyor... Basitce, bir terminal penceresi açıp /etc/apt/sources.list dosyasını düzenlemek için şu komutu çalıştıralım...

Dosyanın sonuna şu satırı eklememiz gerekiyor

Dosyayı kaydedip kapatın, ve şu komutları terminalden çalıştırınız

yazılım kaynaklarımızı güncellediğimize göre Gnome 2 Çatallaması Mate Masaüstü Ortamını kurmak için hazırız...

Terminalden şu komutları veriyoruz

sudo apt-get install mint-meta-mate

işlem tamamlandıktan sonra oturumu kapatıyoruz ve giriş ekranında MATE seçeneği eklenmiş oluyor...

.. açıkcası ben sadece tercüme ettim, test listemde ama elimdeki ubuntu 11.10 isosu silinmiş, yeniden indiriyorum...

bugün pardus 2011 ve pardus kurumsal test etmeyi hedefliyordum, mate test edelim o zaman
