Firefox Güncellenmiyor

[helluri]

Firefox 3.5.3 kullanıyorum. Firefoxun yenü sürümü çıktı diye uyarı geldi. Güncellemelere baktım, gerçekten de yeni sürüm mevcut. Yükledim fakat değişen bir şey olmadı. Notification sağ üst köşede günde 1-2 kere firefoxun yeni sürümü var diye uyarı veriyor. Ben de firefoxu kaldırdım, home dosyasındaki .mozilla dosyasını sildim. Yeniden kurdum. Hala firefox 3.5.3 olarak görünüyor ve uyarı geliyor firefoxun yeni sürümü mevcut diye.
Ayrıca software center a göre firefox 3.5.4 kullanıyormuşum, fakat aslında 3.5.3 yüklü..
Ne yapabilirim?

Firefoxu güncellemek için kaldırmanız gerekmiyor paket yöneticisi gerekli değişiklikleri yapacaktır.Ayrıca bir hata olup olmadığını denemek için konsola

Bir de bazen güncelleme yöneticisi şaşırabiliyor mesela bende init ve e2fs diye paketler çıkıyor güncelleme sonunda oysaki en son sürümleri yüklü oluyor.Bazen bir daha Denetle tuşuna basarak bu sorun gideriliyor

Şimdi zaten yardımın altında denetleme butonu aktif değil. Linuxda aktif olmaz bildiğim kadarıyla.
Yardım->Mozilla Firefox hakkında şunu diyor:
"Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3"
aslında firefoxun 3.5.3 olması benim için sorun değil. Fakat ikide bir sağ üstte firefox 3.5.4 çıktı 3.5.5 çıktı gibilerinde uyarılar çıkıyor ve bişiy yapamıyorum..

Firefox güncellem butonu sadece mozillanın derlediği yani mozilla.com dan indirdiğiniz firefoxda bulunur.
Bir kere yükledikten sonra tekrar güncelleme denetimi yapabilirsiniz.

@helluri, kurulumu ubuntuzilla betiği ile yapmışsınız. Firefox 3.5, Karmic ile öntanımlı geldiği için xulrunner bileşeni, diğer uygulamalar tarafından da kullanılıyor. Bence  sistemin kararlılığını bir betiğin insafına bırakmak mantıklı değil. Kaldı ki  resmi Firefox güncellemelerini Canonical zaten sağlıyor.

Ubuntuzilla betiği ile firefox kaldırılıyorsa , kaldırıp resmi depodan yüklemeyi denermisin.

evet en güzeli böyle betikleri hiç kullanmamak ama sistemimi 9.04 den yükselttim. Firefox3.5 denemek için de canonical ı 6 ay bekliyen yoktur heralde:)
ubuntuzilla da, 9.04 de ff3.5 kullanmak için en pratik yöntem..

neyse, synapticten ubuntuzillayı tamamen kaldırdım, firefoxu ve .mozilla dosyasını sildim.
değişen bir şey olmadı. Yine firefox 3.5.3 yüklü olarak gözüküyor.

@helluri , 3.5 hem Jaunty hem de Karmic deposunda vardı. Yükseltme yaptığına göre sisteminde yüklü kalan  Firefox 3.0 bileşenleri sorun çıkarıyor sanırım.

internete girip how to install firefox on ubuntu 9.04 yazınca çıkan sonuçlardan en basitinin filezilla olduğunu görmüştüm.. depolardı var mıydı hatırlamıyorum ama program ekle kaldıra girip 2 tık tık la yüklenemiyordu hatırladığım kadarıyla.

Jaunty den kalma bağımlıklardan dolayı Java kaldırılmış.

komutu ile Karmic deposundaki javayı yükle.

Sistemdeki Firefox bileşenleri Jaunty paketlerinden  Karmic paketlerine geçmiş. Yalnız xulrunner sürümü 1.9.1.5 e geçmesi gerekiyordu. Yüklü olan Jaunty paketi sorun çıkarmış ve bir önceki sürüm yüklenmiş.

Bu Ubuntuzilla ile nasıl kaldırılıyor kurulan bir paket?

Şimdi zaten ubuntuzilla kurulumu yaptığın zaman firefox, shitoko web browser diye bişeye dönüşüyor. Herşeyiyle firefox 3.5 in aynısı fakat ikonu ve ismi farklı.
Ben bu sorun başlayınca shitoko yu kaldırmıştım, ev dizini içindeki .mozilla dosyasını da kaldırdım. Sonra depolara girdim ve firefox 3.5 i kurdum. Ardından ironic in tavsiyesiyle synaptic e girip ubuntuzilla yı da tamamen kaldırdım. Ama halen firefox 3.5.4 kurmuş gibi gözükmeme rağmen firefox güncellenmiyor.
Daha başka ne yapmam lazım bilemiyorum.
