bağlantı hızı yavaş

Ubuntuya yeniyim. Airties RT-206v4 modemim var. Ubuntu 11.10 kurudğumda default olarak wired connection halihazırda vardı fakat çok yavaş. Bu hız problemini nasıl aşacağımı bilmiyorum. Birkaç forumdaki çözümleri denedim. Yardım ederseniz sevinirim.

Modemdeki kablosuz seçeneği WPA/WPA2 gibi bir şeyse sadece WPA yaparak deneyebilir misin?
Pardon, kablo ile bağlanıyorum demişsin zaten.

Şöyle bir baktım da etrafa kartınla ilgili sorunlar aktarılmış fakat doğru dürüst çözüm sunan olmamış. Sadece bizim tarafta da değil, Centos, OpenSuse gibi dağıtımlar için de sonuçlar geliyor Google üzerinden.

Şurada [1] kullanıcı sorunun router kaynaklı olduğundan dem vurmuş, fakat nasıl çözdüğünü o da söylememiş.
