Are these ok ?

Now we are going to probe the tty port to figure out the type
of modem that is attached.  This takes a few seconds, so be patient.
Note that if you do not have the modem cabled to the port, or the
modem is turned off, this may hang (just go and cable up the modem
or turn it on, or whatever).

Probing for best speed to talk to modem:
Unable to deduce DTE-DCE speed; check that you are using the
correct device and/or that your modem is setup properly.  If
all else fails, try the -s option to lock the speed.

Modemin çalışıyor mu Ubuntu ile?
Softmodem ise işin zor diyebilirim.

İnternete bağlanabiliyorum...modem in calşıyor mu ne demek? anlayamadım...soft modem?...sanırım gerçekten zor bir durum olsa gerek...senden başka cevap veren olmamış.....

Faks yazılımları dahili modem üzerinden çalışırlar benim bildiğim, yani çevirmeli ağ üzerinden gönderirler faksı. Kısacası internete bağlanabiliyorum derken aldığın ADSL veya Kablonet hizmetinden bahsediyorsan benim sorduğum o değildi. Gerçi artık kimse çevirmeli modemlerle interneti denemez.

Sonuçta sistemin 56K olması muhtemel olan modemini tanımış olması gerekiyor.

Evet benimde anladığım bu ....yani motorola sm 56 olan modemimi ubuntu tanımıyor gibi bir sonucu vardım...

Evet aynı şeyden bahsediyoruz. Eğer bu modem "winmodem" diye adlandırılan yazılım tabanlı modemse ne yazık ki Linux üzerinde kullanımı pek mümkün değil diye düşünüyordum ancak ufukta bir ışık göründü. Kaynak şurası:

yazdigin gibi scanmodem dizinini olusturdum/scanmodem.gz dosyasini indirdim/daha sonra actim/kullanici yetkilerini duzenledim/ve calistirdim/ve dosya icersinde 3052 gecen satirlari aradim.......ama herhangi 1 cikti gelmedi......

modemdata.txt dosyasin okumaya basladim...."The dialer utility package WVDIAL does not appear to be installed on your System. "
bu paketi yuklemek sorunumu cozer mi bilemedim...baska birsey de takilmadi gozume..tam metin asagida..belki sen yakalayabilirsin diye kopyaliyorum....

Compiling hsfmodem drivers does require linux-libc-dev and libc6-dev packages, for kernels 2.6.24 and later versions.
In not included on your install CD, search for them at http://packages.ubuntu.com
or comparable Repository for other Linux distros.
When compiling ALSA drivers, the utility "patch" will also be needed.




If a driver compilation fails, with message including some lack of some FileName.h (stdio.h for example), then

Açıkçası scanmodem Motorola adında bir modem bulamamış. Başka şeylerden bahseder gibi olmuş fakat bizim tarife uyar mı bilemiyorum.
