Merhabalar,
Kullanmakta olduğum i5 3. nesil işlemcili laptopumdaki hdd yi doğrudan lenovo x270 bilgisayarıma taktım. Amacım format ve sonrası işlemlerle uğraşmadan doğrudan kaldığım yerden devam edebilmekti. Lakin i5-7200U işlemci olmasına rağmen eski bilgisayarımdan daha sorunlu bir hal aldı.
Günlük kullanımda bilgisayar baya baya donuyor. htop ile kontrol ettiğimde işlemcinin anlık olarak çok kullanıldığını sonrasında normale döndüğünü görebiliyorum.
Size ne gibi çıktılar vermem gerektiğini bilmediğim için aşağıda bir takım çıktıları paylaşıyorum.

Donduğunda hangi işlemler işlemciyi kullanıyor?
Bunu bilmemiz gerek. Bunun için donduğunda veya kastığında htop komutunun çıktısını atmalısınız.
Çeşitli programlar işlemciyi yükseltebiliyor. Şunu belirtmeliyim bilgisayar bir kaç saniyeliğine takılıyor çok nadir uzun süreli donmalar yaşanıyor. Genelde youtube'da video izlerken veya google cloud platform üzerindeki sunucuya bağlanırken sorun yaşıyorum. htop çıktılarını paylaşamıyorum çünkü kasılma başladığında htop ile izlemeye çalıştığımda normale dönüyor :)

U = ultra low power olarak açılıyor. Türkçe açılımı, "ayakları yorulmasın diye mevsimsiz kırpılmış merinos koyunu" şeklinde de olabilir. :)
Düşük güç tüketsin, fazla ısınmasın, sarj başına batarya ömrü uzun olsun diye özellikle Ultrabook'lar için diğer (HQ - M vb) sürümlere göre özellikleri kısıtlanarak üretilmiş. i7-7500U altındakiler çok iyi yorumlanmamış.

Yeterli miktar karamsarlık aşıladım sanırım. :D İyi tarafına bakarsak, Gnome masaüstü için donacak bir sistem değil. Donma yapmasının sebebi, Ubuntu kurulum scriplerinin eski sisteme göre özel değer girmesi veya zaman içinde bunu senin elle yapman olabilir. Ubuntu kullanmadığım için güncelleme ile geçiş yapar mı bilmiyorum ancak bir şekilde Gnome 3.30 sürümüne geçmeni öneririm. 3.30 birçok performans düzenlemeleri ile yayınlandı.
Temiz bir kurulum, muhtemel sorunları çözmekten daha zahmetsiz olabilir.
