Göz kırpan ekran

Merhaba arkadaşlar,
Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex kullanıyorum. Ve ATI ekran kartı sürücücülerini kurup compiz kullanmaya başladığım günden beri bu problemi yaşıyorum. Problem şu; -her zaman olmamakla beraber- genelde bilgisayarımı başlattığımda ekran kararıp düzeliyor. Mouse un scroll uyla ekran parlaklığınızı kontrol edebildiğinizi düşünün. Hızlı bir şekilde ekran parlaklığınızı sürekli açıp kapadığınızı düşünün. Yaşadığım problem tam olarak bu. 
(Bu "göz kırpmak" ingilizce olarak "blinking" diye anlatılıyor. Türkçe karşılığından emin olamadığım için yazmak istedim.)
